Learning Model Change
Middle school students currently in the hybrid learning model will increase from two days to four days of in-person learning each week, beginning Tuesday, April 20. In addition, Monday, April 19 will become a transition day for staff, with no school for students in grades 6-12.
In this four-day model, students will continue to have cycle days for the applicable classes. Mondays and Thursdays will be be BLUE days, while Tuesdays and Fridays will be GOLD days.
The administrative recommendations to move from a two-day in-person learning model to a four-day in-person model were approved by the School Board at its April 12 regular meeting. In the four-day model, secondary students will attend school in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays will continue to be distance learning days, with opportunities for some in-person support for selected students.
