Parent/Teacher Conferences
Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held via Zoom between October 26 – November 5 through a flexible schedule (times offered will be morning, daytime and evening). Please note that we will not host any conferences on Tuesday, November 3. Your child’s advisory teacher will send a registration link on Wednesday, October 14 for you to register for a 15-minute slot.  Families can choose to have their child join the conference but this is not a requirement.  Families that prefer a phone conversation should reach out directly to the advisory teacher to make these arrangements.

RMS Fundraiser Begins Monday, Oct. 19
It’s almost here! Our annual school fundraiser starts Monday, Oct. 19 and once again our mission is to help provide things RMS needs most right now. This list includes things like tools for digital learning, gym equipment and more. Last year we were overwhelmed by the support from our community, and students and staff remain grateful for the supplies, technology and books you helped fund. This year, if every student raised just $20, we’d meet our goal. And because we have parent volunteers managing the campaign instead of a marketing company, every dollar raised stays within RMS.

“Give Your Way: Support the Irish Way” runs October 19-30 and donations will be accepted on our GiveMN page, (website will be live on Monday, Oct. 19) and through MyPaymentsPlus. Cash or checks may also be dropped off at the main office, 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please watch for a flier with additional information coming home next week, and will also be on the RMS website. If you have any questions, please email Thank you in advance for your support!

4th Annual Irish Way 5K and 1-mile
The 4th Annual Irish Way 5K and 1-mile will be held Saturday, October 24.  Due to the health and safety of our community, runners and walkers will have two ways to participate in this year’s event- virtually or in person.  The only in-person event will be a 1-mile walk/run on the Rosemount Middle School Campus.  This event will begin at 9 a.m. with staggered start times to limit the number of community members present at the start line.   The 5K will only be done virtually.  This is an opportunity to run/walk a course of your choice, at your own leisure and then share pictures with us. Click here for more information and for the link to register for the in-person 1-mile.

To apply, visit or call 651-423-7570 if you need assistance filling out the application and a counselor will help you.

COVID Check List
Please click this link to see the COVID Check List to complete on the days when students are in the building.

We are happy to see students back in school, and it is nice to see everyone working together to keep the school environment safe and healthy. Wearing a face covering, maintaining 6-feet of distance between people, and staying home when ill are crucial steps to limiting the spread of COVID as much as possible. We are committed to keeping Rosemount Middle School as safe as possible, and we will be following the school attendance decision tree developed by the district and based on the most current information from the Minnesota Department of Health to guide student participation in in-person learning and school-sponsored sports/activities. Please reference the decision tree as necessary when determining if your student should be in school or staying home (  If you have any questions or need clarification, please contact the school nurse, Robin Schmitz at and she will help guide you through the decision process.
